Digital CitizenshipStudents will explore the role they play in an online community and their responsibilities as digital citizens.
We will be covering the following topics this year in technology:
Type to Learn
3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade students are practicing their keyboarding skills during Technology instruction. We are using Type to Learn 4, a program purchased by Howard County for our students.
Go to the Type to Learn website. Download either the Mac or Windows full version of Type to Learn. It's a big file - It may take a while! Email Mrs. Hook for the school code. |
October Highlights
Fifth grade students have been busy creating and updating their website. They have added a home page with their avatar and a page to highlight their summer poster. Students have also written a reflection on how they created their summer poster and suggestions for next year fifth graders.
September Highlights
Google Site
All fifth grade students will be creating their own website in Google Apps for Education. This website will be used as a portfolio to showcase their work throughout the year. You can access your child's website through GAfE (https://hcpss.me). Students log in using their username and password.
